How to apply HDFC credit card online

At present time, why having an HDFC credit card is important—you will understand this only when you want to buy a mobile phone or any electronic items, and there is a 5% or 10% discount available on using an HDFC credit card. At that time, if you had this credit card, you could have saved money.

Generally, what happens is that HDFC Bank has tie-ups with major e-commerce sites, so you get the benefit of instant discounts on them. This is a very good advantage of having a credit card.

Three Easy Processes to Get a HDFC Credit Card

Now I will tell you three easy processes, with the help of which you can easily get your credit card. There are some things you need to keep in mind before applying for an ADC bank credit card. There are two types of situations in this—first, if you are a customer of ADC bank, then your application process becomes quite easy and the chances of your credit card getting approved are also higher.

If you are not a customer of the bank, then you need to take care of some additional things, only then you should proceed with the credit card application process. Otherwise, your application may get rejected, and in that case, there is no benefit in applying.

For HDFC Bank Customers

The first thing is that if you are a customer of HDFC Bank, then your application process will automatically get auto-filled if you already have an account in HDFC Bank. As soon as you enter your mobile number and date of birth, your data will automatically be fetched, and you will not need to do KYC here.

If you do transactions on a regular basis, then whether you have a pre-approved offer on your account or not, you will not need to complete KYC in the application process, and your application will be submitted instantly.

For Non-HDFC Customers

The second thing is, if you are not a customer of HDFC Bank, then you will need to fill in your details carefully. Only by providing correct information will your verification be completed and you will be able to get the credit card.

How to Apply for the HDFC Credit Card

Now let’s talk about how you have to complete the application process. For this, a link is provided; by clicking on it, you will be redirected to the official website.

Here, first of all, you will be asked to enter your mobile number and date of birth. If you do not want to enter your date of birth, you can also enter your PAN number. After this, you will receive an OTP, which you need to verify. After that, personal details will be asked because your employment type will be required.

Then you will have to set your designation—such as owner, salesman, manager, etc. If you select the student or housewife option, it will only work if you have a pre-approved offer in your account; otherwise, your application may get rejected.

After this, you will enter your address. If you already have a bank account, your address may get auto-filled; otherwise, you can fill it manually.

Next, in step three, you will get the option to choose a card. According to your profile, different cards will be shown to you. For example, if you have selected business, then business cards will be shown—such as Business Grow, Business Fund, or MoneyBack Business card.

All these cards have different charges, so you should select according to your needs. Simply, you can choose a RuPay credit card, which is a good option. After that, you will be asked for your office address, which you need to fill in correctly, and then submit the application.

Verification Process

Now comes the last step—the verification process. If you are a bank customer, you can complete the verification through net banking or a debit card. To verify using a debit card, you will need to enter your card number and ATM PIN. In this way, your application process will be submitted. Within 2 to 4 days, you will know whether your card has been approved or not.

If you are not a bank customer, then you will have to complete KYC. In this, you get two options—Aadhaar-based e-KYC and Video KYC. Offline KYC is also available, but it is a lengthy process, so you should choose e-KYC and Video KYC. After entering your Aadhaar number and completing the verification, you will get the option for Video KYC. Once you complete it, your card approval can be done easily.

Pro Tip

If you do not have a bank account yet, then first open an account. After opening the account, do regular transactions for 5–10 months. This increases your chances of getting a pre-approved offer, and you may even get a HDFC credit card without income proof.

I have personally tried this in my account and in many of my friends’ accounts, where they received pre-approved offers. So you can also follow this process and easily get a credit card.
